Yesterday was a magical day at the beach--the water was wave-less and clear... you could see rocks, shells, and some small fish. Simon got stung by a jellyfish, a beautiful one nonetheless. The payment for this nice day was that I was 30 minutes late for class because of the buses and the fact that they changed the rooms constantly and I forgot which one it was meeting this time. When I walked in, though, nobody blinked an eye.
In class, we talked about Yemenite Jews & watched a movie about them and I fell in love with their culture and devotion... Apparently, they are the closest to what the Jews of the Bible looked and lived like. The women are beautiful and modest, and everyone is full of life and they preserve strong family ties in their daily lives. Now there are less than 300 in Yemen because most immigrated to Israel with the founding of the state.
